SOURDOUGH MUFFINS

1 ½ cup whole wheat
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
½ cup melted shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 ½ cups sour dough starter

Measure dry ingredients and combine in a large bowl. Add eggs, melted shortening and sour dough starter.

Mix until just moist and bake 375 F. for 30 to 35 minutes.
