SATIN FROSTING

3 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup white sugar

Combine flour and milk and stir until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick. Be careful not to scorch. The milk only takes one or two minutes to thicken once it boils.

Set aside or refrigerate until completely cold. If you do not allow mixture enough time to cool completely the frosting will not work. It will be too runny.

Beat butter and sugar together until creamy. Slowly add cooled flour and milk mixture and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until frosting is light and fluffy.
