BLONDE BROWNIES

Preheat oven to 350 F.
You will need one 9 X 12 inch un-greased cake pan.

1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar, packed
3 eggs
2 ¾ cups white flour
2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (8-10 oz.) package raw Spanish peanuts (Optional)

Melt butter and brown sugar together in a large saucepan over low heat. Cool slightly so you won’t cook your eggs. Crack eggs and stir them one at a time into butter mixture with a large spoon. Add flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Fold in peanuts.

Pour into pan and bake for 25 Minutes. Do not over cook. Brownies will set up as they cool.
