| LEB KUCHEN (10 DAY COOKIES) Whole recipe 1 quart honey 1 cup butter or oleo 1\2 cup shortening 2 tablespoons soda 2 tablespoons milk 2 tablespoons cinnamon 2 tablespoons allspice 1 tablespoon cloves 1\2 teaspoon nutmeg 1\2 teaspoon black pepper 1\2 pound pecans 1\2 pound raisins (opp.) 9 cups flour (more or less) Half recipe 1 pint honey 1\2 cup butter or oleo 1\4 cup shortening 1 tablespoon soda 1 tablespoon milk 1 tablespoon cinnamon 1 tablespoon allspice 1 1\2 teaspoon cloves 1\4 teaspoon nutmeg 1\4 teaspoon black pepper 1\4 pound pecans 1\4 pound raisins (opp.) 4 1\2 cups flour (more or less) Mix ingredients in order. Let dough stand for 8 to 10 days, covered on cabinet. Just forget it. On the 8th or 10th day, roll out dough to 1\4 inch thick and cut into diamond shapes. Bake 350 F. 12 to 15 minutes. After cookies are cool, glaze with vanilla icing. |
