GREEN TOMATO PICKLES

Wash tomatoes, cut out any spots. Cut each tomato into eight wedges. Pack into quart bottles along with the following:

2 or 3 garlic cloves
1 or two jalapeno peppers
2-3 heaping teaspoons dill seed

Make a brine of the following:

2 quarts water
1 quart vinegar
3\4 cup salt

Bring to a boil and pour over vegetables packed in jars.
Seal by boiling jars in hot water bath for 5 minutes.

Great way to make pickles without having the cucumbers!!! These are
very salty, hot and DILL smackin GOOD!
