| CANDIED POPCORN 1 cup white sugar 3 tablespoons water 1 tablespoon butter ½ teaspoon salt 3-4 quarts popped but not buttered popcorn, remove any kernels In a medium-sized sauce pan, combine first four ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook over medium heat until mixture reaches the soft ball stage. Test by dropping a small amount into a glass of cold water. When it forms a soft chewy ball it is ready. Pour over popcorn. Toss until candy is evenly distributed throughout the popcorn, then serve. |
