HOLIDAY DELIGHT

Recipe requires one well-buttered 9x12” pan.

3 cups white sugar
1 ½ cups half and half
½ pound brazil nuts, chopped
½ pound walnuts, broken
½ pound whole pecans
½ pound candied cherries, chopped
½ pound candied pineapple, chopped

In a large saucepan, cook sugar and cream to soft ball stage. Beat immediately until mixture thickens and the color lightens. Add vanilla. Slowly add nuts and candied fruit.

Pack the thick sticky mixture into well-greased pan, pressing into corners with a wet spoon. Chill for 24 hours. When it is firm and almost white in color, the candy may be sliced and cut in finger lengths. This delicious candy will remain soft for months.
