TEXAS SHEET CAKE

Preheat oven to 400 F.
Recipe requires one 12x18x2 inch cookie sheet.

2 ¼ cups white flour
2 cups white sugar
1 cup butter
¼ cup baking cocoa
1 cup warm water
½ cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar. In a one quart saucepan, heat butter, cocoa and water until butter is melted. Pour over flour and sugar. Mix well. Beat in buttermilk, soda, eggs and vanilla. Mixture will seem thin.

Pour batter into cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.

Frosting:

½ cup butter
6 teaspoons heavy cream
¼ cup baking cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup walnuts, chopped fine

Melt butter, cream and cocoa together in small pan and then add vanilla, powdered sugar and nuts. Mix well. Frost warm cake while still in the pan. Serve as you would brownies.
