PUMPKIN CAKE

Preheat oven to 350 F.
Recipe requires one greased and floured 9 x 13 inch cake pan.

3 eggs, well beaten
2 ¼ cups white sugar
¾ cup vegetable oil
2 cups canned pumpkin
½ cup water
2 ½ cups white flour
1 ½ teaspoon baking soda
1 ½ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts, chopped coarse

Cream eggs, sugar and oil together. Add pumpkin and water and mix thoroughly. Add flour and spices and beat until all the lumps have dissolved. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.

Pour batter into cake pan and bake for 25 minutes or until cake springs back when touched lightly in the middle.
