MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE

Preheat oven to 350 F.
Recipe requires three greased and floured 9” round cake pans.

3 cups white flour
½ cup baking cocoa
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup hot water

In a large mixing bowl, mix dry ingredients together - you do not have to sift. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil and then hot water. Stir with a large spoon until all lumps have disappeared.

Divide batter by pouring into 3 greased and floured 9 inch round cake pans. Bake 22-25 minutes or until cake springs back when touched lightly in the middle with your finger. Do not over bake.

Frost when cool with your favorite frosting.
