FRESH CREAM CAKE

Preheat oven to 350 F.
Recipe requires two greased and floured 9 inch round cake pans

2 ½ cups white flour
1 ¾ cups white sugar
1 1/3 cups heavy cream
1/3 cup milk
3 teaspoons baking powder
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon salt

Measure all ingredients into a large glass bowl and beat together until smooth. Pour into cake pans. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown and top springs back when touched lightly in the middle.

Loosen cake from the sides of the pan and turn upside down on a clean wire cooling rack or serving plate. Top with whipped cream and fresh fruit or allow cake to cool and then frost with your favorite frosting.
