| CHOCOLATE HONEY CAKE Preheat oven to 350 F. Recipe requires one greased and floured 9 x 13 inch cake. 2 eggs 1 ¼ cups honey ½ cup vegetable shortening 2/3 cup water 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 2 cups white flour 1 ½ teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons baking cocoa In a large bowl, cream eggs, honey, shortening, water, vanilla and vinegar together. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Pour into cake pan and bake for 30 minutes or until cake springs back when touched lightly in the middle. |
