PUMPKIN BREAD

Preheat oven to 350 F.
Recipe requires two well-greased and floured 8” bread pans.

3 ½ cups white flour
1 ½ teaspoons salt
3 cups white sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup water
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2 cups canned pumpkin
2 cups walnuts, chopped

In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add water, oil, unbeaten eggs and pumpkin to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Stir in the chopped nuts. Pour batter into 2 well-greased and floured bread pans.

Bake 350 F for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown and cake pulls slightly away from the sides of the pan.
