WASSAIL - HOT SPICED CIDER 1 gallon apple cider 2 teaspoons whole allspice 2/3 cup white sugar 2 teaspoons whole cloves 2-3 sticks cinnamon 2 oranges, studded with cloves Pack spices in a clean white cheese cloth and tie it closed with a string. Heat cider, spices and sugar to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove spice bag and pour cider into punch bowl. Float oranges in punch bowl. Serves 15 |
